Hospital in Medan

having spent 1/4 of my holidays at Bumrungrad hospital… to step foot at a hospital in Medan … is like a total new experience again for me… a mere 3 weeks away from Medan… everywhere i turned and see… became a rather new and interesting eyeful…

my sister-in-law just gave birth.. and i went to the hospital to visit her today.. as my car passed the back of the building… I saw 2 racks of clothes with printed cartoon.. as I looked at it harder, only did i realised that its in fact those clothes that the hospital uses to wrap around the new born babies…. i was telling myself.. that these clothes better not be the one that wrap around my new born nephew…

and it was the first thing that I checked once the nurse brought the baby over to the room ….. god… I cannot … cannot… believe that its those ones that I saw earlier… exact same print and colour!!!…. how the heck that the hospital do not sterilize the clothes!!!! it’s too obvious that.. its being washed and being dried out in the open air… and it’s near the mechanic rooms… the thing is that …. hundreds of cars are passed through the back roads hence the exhaust fumes as well as all the dust that will eventually gets on to the clothes!!!… and we are talking new born babies!!!

then.. when i hold my nephew… god… the smell of the nurses!!! its like… the baby room is not well ventilised else… he wouldnt be feeling sticky and has that stayed on thingy…. the ward room is old… and the whole building smelled rather badly…. and this is the hospital considered to be one of the best in Medan….
