Carrefour – what a cashier!!

I am not a regular shopper at Carrefour but I am there today simply because I have received some free vouchers…  just as  I was at the cashier to pay, and since seeing that she is alone and has no one to help her, I decided to place all my groceries into the bag myself to speed up the check out time….  rather than waiting for her to do it all at the end of the scanning… and believe it or not, she gave me a look (like I am trying to ask for free plastic bag to bring home!!) when I asked for some of those  Carrefour Labelled Bag!!.. and smart of her enough, she gave me ONE !!! for the Rp 750.000 worth of goods that I was buying!!! … and as I asked for the second one, and explained my intention of helping her, she gave me just an extra of ONE again!! (my maid was loading all stuff onto the belt and it was very obvious that my purchase was gonna be lots)….  at that point, I dropped everything and decided to just stopped what I was trying to help her to do and let her do it all by herself!!!….  I guess towards the end, she had then just really realised what I wanted to do…. and by then queue started to form….

just imagine how much I can help to make this whole shopping experience more efficient and not as time consuming…. ai.ai.ai…. I have no word to describe what a cashier Carrefour has for its consumers…..

p.s. I always have this problem whenever I shop there… why?.. why?.. why?

    I hate to shop at Carrefour too, the cashier seems like very unhappy to serve if you are Chinese, maybe if they notice that you buy a lot of things they get “red eye”. Actually their price is not cheap except promotional items and range of goods is not complete. Macan and Maju Bersama price are cheaper, but lack imported items. I used to shop at Prisai Plaza but they closed now. The other option is Merak JIngga, but the place is quite messy. so whenever i go back to Medan, I shop at maximart now.

    They used to put the plastic bag on the cashier so anyone could place their groceries unto the bag them self, but as you probably have known Indonesian tends to take more than they needed so the supermarket usually have another worker to put the groceries or they just put the plastic inside the cashier’s table…

    They probably saved more money hiring another worker rather than giving free plastic bags to their customer….

    and its not just in Medan nor carrefour!!

    Saya juga punya pengalaman sangat tidak menyenangkan dengan kasir Carrefour, karena dia telah membanting (mencampakkan) barang belanjaan saya dengan sangat sengaja. Sangat mengerikan!

    Hanya karena dia merasa tidak senang saya tidak mau membayar barang belanjaan saya yang telah terlanjur ia posting di mesin cash registernya (saat itu barng belanjaan saya, ia input bersamaan dengan barang belanjaan customer di depan saya).

    Wajar dong saya tidak mau. Apalagi saat itu saya tidak punya uang pas (kecil) yang sesuai dengan harga barangnya. Saya mau dia bertanggung jawab atas kesalahan yang telah ia lakukan.

    Wajahnya langsung berkerut. Dan seperti yang telah saya katakan diawal, sambil menghitung barang dagangan saya, ia juga membantingnya! Kurang ajar sekali!!!!

    Saya masih bisa menahan emosi saya dan bermaksud melaporkannya tetapi, suami saya menghalangi saya. Karena setelah diperiksa untungnya tidak ada barang belanjaan saya yang rusak.

    Tetapi perilaku yang sangat kurang ajar itu telah membuat saya mengharamkan carrefour sebagai tempat berbelanja keluarga lagi.

    Sebenarnya, ini adalah pengalaman ke-2 saya di carrefour yang sangat mengesalkan saya.

    well…great!!!!! so it’s not just “me” feel they way bout supermarket in Medan. On holiday, u may notice on Hypermart or Carrefour, the cashiers just serve one third while so many customers queuing.”ON HOLIDAY”.

    betuuuul sekaliiiii, sy sangat suka membaca website ini, benar2 sangat sejalan dengan pemikiran dan pengalaman sy, tapi sy tidak bisa menahan emosi, so selalu sy marah tu kasir dan cari managernya, baik di Carrefour atau di manapun yg kurang ajar : )
